Boarding at Doulos Ship in Philippines Pier

doulosship3

Last Monday was the most exciting day of my life. How I wished to visit the so called MV Doulos, the famous first ship to travel across the oceans carrying a message of love, hope, knowledge and comfort in different nations around the World. What a wonderful day to board a ship filled with books with the person I loved. We traveled across EDSA from Green hills, San Juan just to experience the adventure of climbing a big ship which carries piles of books on their deck. Monday at 4pm, with the intensity heat of the sun strikes into our heads. We eagerly travel 2hours just to see the enormous ship and even it’s the last pit stop of our trip from National Police Commission, POEA and Green Hills San Juan, the long wait is over.

Excitedly, we managed our way to have a glimpse of how lovely and beautiful the Doulos Ship could be. It’s a long walk towards the ship port. But, I have patiently waited the right moment. Finally, I’m going to board my First Book Ship.I’m very excited and blessed to have that chance to have this kind of moment with someone I truly love. As we follow the routes of children, parents, students and professionals who eagerly wanted to see the Doulos Book fair. We can see meters away the view of the enormous MV Boat, I slowly seen the fascade of the Doulos Ship. The journey to the magnificent Doulos Ship, my so called “A Boat’s Book” is great and overwhelming. While, Ray take a cool picture on the side of the boat where a big capital DOULOS was written and as we exchanged post for a souvenir picture of a wonderful Ship.

I have known this excellent Ship by the recommendation of my Quarantine Medical Officer, Dr. Mitchiko Mindania, an officer who is in charge of checking all the passenger crew of a certain vessel within the territory of the Philippines. A year ago, he told me some interesting facts of the Doulos. How he managed to take a picture and tour around the ship. He mentioned about lots of books parading on the deck, friendly Captain and caring crew greets you with glee.

That’s the time I told myself, I wanted to see this MV Doulos. It’s not the steel created that makes this ship wonderfully crafted. It’s the vision and values it shared to mankind. It doesn’t only create a bond of camaraderie of all nations but it shares an infinite and genuine link of love in God and people that touches on each port they visit. The crew and leadership of the captain creates an enormous impact in the world that nations could be aware of the message of hope and unconditional love that our dear Lord almighty is giving to us. By extending their help to needy nations, they connect a spontaneous glow of love, care ad comfort to their fellow mankind. I salute the Captain and to all crew members.

March 30, 2009 is a memorable event of my life. Thank you for visiting Philippines for the second time around. Thank you for sharing a loving message of hope, camaraderie and encouragement that initiate a good heart to people whom you visit each designate locations in the globe. May you aim with excellence in serving God by helping individuals in different countries. May you continue to serve others and bring honor and praise in God. I bought  2 Books: The Revolution of Love and The Journey by Billy Graham, like the same meaning of the books. May your Journey be filled with encouragement, faith and love among the family and members of MV DOULOS.. May the simple journey revolves with greater commitment of spreading an unconditional love and  faith in God.

The Courage of Southern Culture

plantation-slaves_small1

The Southern and Scottish History entails a great braveness of African-American people. The strong influences of their regional indifferences develop delighted musical styles in Southern Gospel, Blue Grass, Jazz, Rhythm & Blues, Literature, Cuisine and Religion. Based in History, the Southerners are made up of African-American descendant of slaves brought in the South by British Columnist. In 17th Century, English origins dominated the coastal regions of South, while in 18th Century, numerous groups of Scots and Ulster-Scots called Scots-Irish settled in Appalachia and Piedmont.

With their Scottish lineage, the south was blessed with abundant commitment, love and liberty to die free rather than to live as slaves that gives them a huge influence by Scottish Ancestors. With an overwhelming courage and desire to be freed, a Scottish Revolutionary War arose and aided the First American Victory in South King’s Mountain. While, in 1860, only 11,000 Southerners, 3 quarters of one percent of white population owned 50 slaves. Over half of slaves live in plantation. In 19th Cent., one third of Southern White families owned a number of slaves. Few were African-American, Mulatto or Native American. With advanced growing of cotton, rice and tobacco crops. The South which includes the mountainous regions of Eastern Tennesse and Western Virginia had been richer than any country in Europe during their era. Even if the Civil War had ended and slavery was less with White Southern aristocrats, black Codes and laws are created to control the southerners such as the antebellum which is used to dominate black with their legal rights in marriage, freedom of speech, occupation, right to own business and sell property. The law has certain restrictions that create a massive destruction in blacks to abuse and cruelty. But, they have the courage to pull the thread and they won the battle.

Humanitarian Works of PNRC sabotage by Bandits

red-cross-box

Where are the hearts of mankind? Are they totally lost by poverty, greed or cruelty? Is there goodness left in their hearts? Why do people who do good things harm by others? Why do they think of themselves only? I do have a charitable Heart. I felt the joy and love of helping people in need. Seeing a poor and smiling Child, brings me peace and comfort. How grateful is to experience the touch and smile of people you share your life.

But, if your caught in a cage in the arms of men who used their hatred to manipulate and destroy lives. How can you reach other’s who poorly need of your comfort. How can you expand your care? If you’re own life is at risk. Rather you pretend to be naïve or be pitied to those who violate human rights. They are too blind to know the real meaning of love and camaraderie. Unless, they dwell and be grateful for the volunteers who give overwhelming care and support, they misled and destroy one’s trust.

PNRC had been a charitable institution whose mission is to extend their love and support to the needy, a God given answer for all the necessities in disasters and poor families trap in wars and famine, to enlighten the hopeless and teach education for poor children, to convey peace and light in less fortunate nations. However, if their good works is at risk. If they need to sacrifice their own life and their vow is to help and give their whole being in charitable act for mankind. How can they continue to savor and experience the true meaning of giving, if other person’s doesn’t accept their pure heart.

Their mission is to save lives and feed the hunger, shelter the homeless and give support to families. Indeed, charity and good heart will be rewarded by God in Heaven. He heals all pains, he give love and shelter in times of troubles and famine. No one can see how grateful your work had accomplished but it will bounce back in you a hundred fold.

Still, May the PNRC crew freed by their captors, for the sake of humanitarian values and love of mankind. May they remember their roots, the true meaning of compassion and brotherhood. May they learn to value ones lives. I believe they have their own motives and principles, they act according to it. But, may peace and unity linger in their hearts. As I prayed that their mind will shift from hatred into love. That’s what it takes to have a peaceful world to live in.

Law of Ten Fold in return

Karma in Harmony Scale

Karma in Harmony Scale

Some call it pay forward or karma. As the saying goes, ” Thou shall not do, what you want others to do unto you” However, I must say, if your doing good deeds, blessings will surely pour around you. But, be careful on your intentions, because every inch of action you does. Our dear Lord sees it. It is much appreciated if you do good things that comes from within. It means you sacrifice or help others, because you want it to happen and because your heart dictates it to help that needy person.

What does TEN fold means? It meant something like the universe coincide with every move you make. Whatever you give but if you will return 10x more stronger. The universal law dictates that everything you do will affect other person. It’s not the same way, but, it will reflect it back to you. Somehow as you ignore it, it turns out to be naturally crafted by your own design that created to suit your actions.

So, next time you planned to do evil things to other person or hurt others. Think this way. Yes it will not harm you. Others, will be tearfully aching on your particular actions. Later, in years. Soon, you will reap what you sow. So, be good and it’s much overwhelming to see that blessings showers you because you created a World filled with compassion, kindness and love. happy 10 fold journey..
